What this site does not do
drkj.hu sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking, embeds no third-party fonts, scripts or social widgets, and has no contact forms or newsletter. Photographs and graphics are served from this site's own host. Reading this site leaves no profile with me. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
What processing remains
Server logs. The hosting provider, Vercel Inc. (440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, United States), processes technical data (IP address, requested page, timestamp, user agent) to deliver the site and defend it against abuse, on standard short retention. Vercel participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework; details are in Vercel's privacy notice.
E-mail. If you write to janos.kopasz@drkj.hu, I process what you send, your address, name if given, and the content, to reply and to keep the correspondence as long as the exchange stays relevant. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in corresponding with people who write to me (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Mail is handled by Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online), provided for EEA customers by Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd., One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland, under Microsoft's EU Data Boundary commitments; details are in Microsoft's privacy statement.
Controller for the above (except the host's own logging): Dr. János Kopasz, contact as in the imprint, acting as a private individual running a personal editorial site, not in the course of providing legal services. Nothing you send here creates an attorney–client relationship. Mandate-related correspondence at my law firm is governed by the firm's own privacy notice, not this one.
Your rights
The full GDPR catalogue applies as written: access (Article 15), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), notification of recipients (Article 19), data portability (Article 20) and objection (Article 21), the last one being the practically relevant right here, since the little processing that exists rests on legitimate interest. No processing on this site is based on consent, so there is no consent to withdraw; and no automated decision-making within the meaning of Article 22 takes place here.
To exercise any of these, write to janos.kopasz@drkj.hu. Complaints lie to the Hungarian supervisory authority (NAIH, naih.hu) or, under Article 77, to the supervisory authority of your habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
Changes
If I ever add anything that processes more, analytics, a newsletter, this note changes first, and the "no trackers" line in the footer comes down. Holding me to that is fair game.
